Lotus Chan

Lotus Chan is a Registered Massage Therapist licensed in Ontario with over 20 years of clinical experience providing assessment-based massage therapy care. Her current focus is scar-focused in-home Registered Massage Therapy for patients with healed post-surgical, abdominal, C-section, orthopaedic, injury-related, and other soft tissue scars who continue to notice tightness, pulling, sensitivity, numbness, discomfort, or movement restriction.

Lotus provides mobile care for patients who may benefit from slower, treatment-focused support in the comfort of their own home, especially when travel, fatigue, mobility concerns, privacy, or scheduling barriers make clinic-based care more difficult. Treatment is guided by health history, intake review, informed consent, clinical assessment, tissue response, patient comfort, and current presentation.

Her scar-focused approach may include gentle soft tissue treatment, scar-adjacent tissue work, fascial techniques, desensitization/tolerance-based care, lymphatic-informed approaches where appropriate, movement-related reassessment, positioning modifications, and homecare recommendations when clinically indicated. Treatment is always adapted to the patient’s healing status, medical history, comfort level, and any relevant healthcare restrictions.

Lotus works within the scope of Registered Massage Therapy in Ontario and does not replace medical care, physiotherapy, surgical follow-up, specialist care, or medical clearance. When appropriate and with patient consent, she can support communication with other healthcare providers involved in the patient’s care.

Mobile Clinical Massage Therapy currently serves select areas of the GTA, including Markham, North York, Thornhill, Richmond Hill, Stouffville. Other areas by request. Appointments require advance booking, completed intake and consent forms, full prepayment, and a safe, private, accessible treatment space.
